I believe there’s no such thing as an irrational belief or feeling. If you’re experiencing something, there’s a reason, even if you don’t understand it yet. Too often, we’re taught to treat difficult emotions and thoughts as enemies, pushing them away or fighting against them. What’s really needed is curiosity, compassion, and understanding. When you begin to uncover your own “secret history,” you can start to write a new one.
With more than three years of experience teaching mindfulness, I’ve seen how it can create lasting change. In therapy, I draw from parts work (IFS) and somatic experiencing to help clients reconnect with their body’s wisdom. The body often holds the keys to healing, and mindfulness provides a way to listen and learn to trust that wisdom. My goal is not to keep you in therapy indefinitely, but to help you gain enough skill and self-understanding that our relationship is no longer necessary.
I also believe spirituality can play a vital role in mental health. Authentic spirituality looks different for everyone, and I’m committed to honoring and integrating whatever it means to you into the healing process
My professional background includes years in the federal workforce, particularly in roles that demanded sacrifice, separation from family, and resilience in austere conditions. I understand how service can take a toll and how important it is to have support in navigating those challenges.
